First Visit
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment to complete paperwork that will help us in your care.
Also please bring the following to your first visit:
- Insurance card and a photo ID
- List of medications with dosage that you are currently taking, including supplements and OTC “over the counter” medications.
- Results of any related medical or laboratory blood tests, X-rays, MRI reports, bone density reports, etc.
During your first visit to our office, a nurse will take your vital signs. The rheumatologist will then discuss in detail your past medical history, recent complaints, and symptoms. This will be followed by a physical examination including the assessment of the spine and joints with a range of motion maneuvers.
- Your rheumatologist may order blood tests which can be done in our office. She may also order X rays or MRIs. This will help her confirm a diagnosis and formulate a treatment plan and options. Finally, there will be time to ask questions and discuss any concerns you may have.
