Laboratory

Our facility offers a full-service laboratory for the convenience of our patients. Any blood tests or specimen collections such joint fluid ordered by the doctor can be done by our lab before you leave the office!

Lab testing is an important part of treatment since it helps the doctor diagnose your health issue correctly, and show any health changes over time. By having a laboratory onsite, we are able to obtain your lab results quickly, enabling the doctor to efficiently diagnosis your condition or determine if further testing is necessary.

Some of the tests we obtain include:

  • CBC (Complete Blood Count) – measures the number of blood cells and the type
  • ESR (Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate) – measures inflammation in the blood
  • CRP (C-reactive Protein) – measures inflammation in the blood
  • CPK (Creatinine Phosphokinase) – measures inflammation in your muscles
  • Kidney Function Tests (Creatinine and BUN)
  • Liver Function Tests (AST and ALT) –
  • RF (Rheumatoid Factor) and Anti-CCP antibodies to help diagnose Rheumatoid Arthritis
  • Joint Fluid Testing – determines if you have an infection or inflammation of the joint
  • Avise – Testing helps with diagnosis, prognosis and monitoring of autoimmune conditions, such as Lupus
  • VECTRA – is used in adults diagnosed with RA. The concentrations of 12 serum proteins are measured. An algorithm is then applied to calculate a single Vectra DA score ranging from 1 to 100 that categorizes RA into low, moderate, or high disease activity. Vectra DA can provide a baseline assessment of RA disease activity and track it over time.
